Description
Teyla and iratus bug, based on Lady with an Ermine by da Vinci.
I took my inspiration with The Art of Discworld and painting of Mona Ogg.
On Lady with an Ermine, Celicia Gallerani holds a white ermine of ferret, symbol of both, her lover - Ludvico Sforca (who was in "Order of the Ermine", and used it as personal emblem), and her pregnency with Ludvico. Also grek name of ermine "galay" refers to her family name.
I used an iratus as reference to Teyla's wraith DNA and her time as wraith queen.
Also it may be symbol of John Sheppard (who almost turned into iratus once) for those who like to see Teyla and John as a couple. But not necessarily.
Now, who would like to see a wraith queen ("The Hive" or "Allies" or The Primary from "The Queen") as "Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies" by van Klomp?
Disclaimer: I disclaim. Neither SGA or "Lady with an Ermine" isn't mine. And it's depressing.
